Hey Joop :)...I'm not sure what your lookin' for, but I'm down in Manahawkin almost every weekend, doin the Pine Barrin thing. I've heard of the place your talkin about, and have been told it's a nice roundy round for quads and bikes (strictly hearsay, haven't been there myself). IM, email me or post here (IM is probably the best), and we'll hit the trails someday soon (I want to get Dingus hitting the trails back there to).
Here's a pic from a spot we go to, but there are to many to list.

Joop,..most of the pics were taken right outside of manahawkin, in the Pine Barrins. The ones of me in the snow, and anything with sand lol. AS I said, I'm down there alot (about an hour from me as well) and anytime you (or anyone) wants to go, just give me a yell. I have a friend who lives down there, and I'm sure if I asked nice, he'd take us through some spots (he has GPS lol).

There is a trail in Ringwood. You have to go into the Ringwood state park off of Skyline Drive. I've been there a couple of times but it is not that good. It is the only place in North Jersey I'm aware of besides driving on peoples lawns.HA HA. Oh Yeah you can go to Island Beach state park, it is just south of Seaside Park/Hgts and drive on the beach.

Hey guys I am from south Jersey.. There are a few places to hit.. Batso is one place, it is located outside of Hammonton around sweetwater. I have seem some trucks come out of there way mudded up. There also another place around Port Norris called the 100' hill. I used to ride dirst bikes there years ago. Large pits and stuff, but the cops have been giving people a hard time lately. I have been dying to try Batso some day, from what I hear there are tons of trails.[addsig]

I'm from the philly area. Just bought my first jeep last week (98 TJ). I am dieing to break it in and get it all muddy. The Barrons are about an hour or so from me.
Someone should set this up. We'll maybe get a whole convoy to go!!! [addsig]

I'm from Delaware County in PA. It's down by Philly Airport. I definatley wanna check out the Pine Barrons. I've heard some cool things.
I just bought my first jeep last Wednesday and had off road on Monday. It was pretty intense stuff. I loved it.......Cant wait for more!!!!
I'm off on Mondays and Wednesdays, but can try to get off other days. My buddy also has a jeep but hes got a DUI startin next week. I'm sure he'll at least come with though.
When do you wanna make this happen?

The damage is still being assessed.....
Luckily we had a mechanic on hand
see him im action here. He's the one with the cowboy hat on.
He dried the plugs and distributor, and luckily we had another air filter.
When she started back up she spewed a couple gallons of water out of the muffler. The battery and alternator were low on juice on the way out and for the hour ride home. She made it though.....The tranny is acting a little funny. He has to change oil and tranny fluids tommorow and then we'll see runs.
Truly amazing how this machine took that beating and that water, shook it off and still made an hour ride home. JEEPS!!!!!!!!!!

I live in New Egypt, NJ (Northwestern Ocean County)and there's about 5 of us around town that go out in the pines just about every weekend. We are right on the edge of "the pines" and if anyone is heading this way just give me a shout and we'll get together.[addsig]

Looks like you need an arb snorkle to go to the pines. I would like to visit there some day. Can you tell me more about the post about the police bothering people on some trials. I thought its legal to trail there.[addsig]

There are LOADS of places to ride where they won't bother you. The place we are talking about is George's Rd. which is right off of the parkway. I guess since it is so easy to get to there's TONS of people that went there. A few months ago some kids got hurt on quads and had to be flown out. I've heard that since then the police have taken it upon themselves to patrol it. There's still about a million acres of pines to ride on, some of it not that exciting but it beats the hell out of pavement. As for needing a snorkel, most of the bad spots have a little road around them.

Hey... you want pines runs? I'm all for it.. so long as everyone is willing to be responsible and not tear the place up, I'll ride with ya, hell I'll even act as guide... I believe in the Tread Lightly philosophy and am a member. We go out all the time to have fun, probably going out again this coming saturday if anyone is interested... i have more pics on my site too,...
The Wulf's Den
if anyone is interested in a ride, drop me a note and we'll get together. Idt is technically illegal to wheel inthe pines, but if you are not tearing the place up (like in those mud pics PAsmokeater posted) they leave you alone....
Everyone should have a CB for a ride though.... plus it comes in handy otherwise anyhow...[addsig]
