TGIF before Thanksgiving Week

Looks like it's gonna be a great week coming up. Thanksgiving Day is predicted to be in the high 70's. I'll be removing the fenders and installing the motor mount brackets I just got on the frame. Weather is PERFECT!!

To all you heading out for vacation this week, hope you have a safe, happy Thanksgiving.

i bought a chevy one ton truck to get the axles for my new project truck but i cant figure out what the rear axle is.. it has a drop out 3rd member and the diff pan comes off too.. it says GM on the ring gear.. please help..

Just recently bought a stock rubicon unlimited. I just wanted to get some opinions on suspension kits. I've always had yjs never built a tj before. Right now im looking at getting the rubicon express 5.5 long arm kit but the skyjacker 6" rockready has my attention too. i plan on wheelin the jeep a lot. looking for a good trail suspension not too worried about street use. tell me whats up im new to the tj.

Just a to the old gang, Utah lost his job, so the frivallities like internet had to go...so I dont have a regular connection, so I will be visiting off and on till I find a new job or win the lottery.

P.S. Thanksgiving in Moab had to be cancled too...life sucks!

Just Bought my first Jeep

I just bought a 93 Rubicon "tombraider" Limited edition. I have a couple questions. Can anyone help?

#1 How do I get the doors off? They have nuts on the bottom of the door hinges. I've never seen this before. I losened the nuts but the doors still wouldn't budge.

#2 Were can I get Some cheap rims, and "winter" tires? I drive it to work on the interstate everyday, and would like some cheap rims and skinnier tires for winter travel. I have the sweet 33's that came on the Jeep, but I don't want to push the snow, and ruin the sweet rims in the salt.

Let me know what you think.

Times are hard and we are left to travel for work But most of you have to have faith in your Jeep and ignore the truckers laughing at you as they pass but when things pick back up we will be on our way back to the desert.

:-) I HAD READ A FEW THREADS CONCERNING OIL PRESSURE , I KNEW ABOUT OIL PRESSURE ON SOME LARGER ENGINES BECAUSE I HAD A 82 GMC 4X4 PU AND HAD PROBLEMS WITH THE OIL PRESSURE SENDING UNIT. THANKS TO THESE THREADS AND REPLYS IT JOGGED MY MEMORY AND I WAS HOPEFULLY ABLE TO SOLVE MY 87 YJ's PROBLEM BY CHANGING OUT THE SENDING UNIT ON IT ALSO ,,,,,,SO FAR SO GOOD IT'S READING ABOUT NORMAL .......JUST WANTED TO SAY THANKS GUYS!;)

Soft top leak

In over 6 years of Jeepin I've never had my soft top leak. Well, once when I first got it but that was because the factory left off the mucket seal. Doesn't count. Recently I've noticed water in my rubber floor mats on the driver side after a rain. I couldn't figure it out until today when I could see the wet spots on the inside of the door near the top corner nearest the windshield.

If you look at the picture you can see where the rain runs off the top down to the door and right in that seal that is bent out. Is there any way to reform that piece. I really would rather not replace the entire door seal.

Need help purchasing a Wrangler

This is my first post and I want to say it looks like you have a very active forum here. I need some help and advice on purchasing my first used Wrangler. I am planing on spending around 12k. It looks like that puts me in a '98-04 year range? What I want is a manual transmision,ac,full doors,hardtop,6cly. I want the hardtop for winter and I figured I could get the soft top for summer, if it doesn't come with both. Is that the way to look at the top situation. It seems like more availability of jeeps in soft tops, but I'm not sure about sourcing a hardtop and what will interchange. I'm not into serious off road. I guess what I'm asking is difference in drivetrain, model changes, enhancements, mileage issues that might help narrow my search to the best jeep for my money.
