First post here. I have gotten alot of great info from this forum. Two questions:

1. How do you remove the "stick" from the tower assembly?
2. Just bought a used AX5 tranny for a swap out. The tranny I got does not have the cone? assembly that holds the fork for the clutch slave. I swapped out the front bearing plate from the old tranny, bolted up with no problem.. Will this be OK? also does anyone have a trick to installing a new front bearing retainer seal without having to shell out $50 for the special tool? I tried using the seal from the replacement in the old plate but the shaft does not turn freely as it did before????

I have a 97 TJ and the windows on the soft top are very cloudy due to age and wear. The windows are not yellowed but just very scratched. I am planning on replacing the top this coming summer but I was wondering if there was a trick that any of you might have up your sleeve to remove/reduce the scratches in the windows. I am not expecting them to look like new by any means but they have very very poor visibility at this point (I almost backed over my room mate lol :D) I am just hoping to increase the visibility a little so I can see better while backing up etc. Any tips or tricks would be awesome.

I've got a '78 CJ-7 and need a new body. I've been out of the Jeep tinkering thing for a while but it seem's like I remember reading that a YJ Wrangler body tub is the same as a CJ-7 tub. Is this correct? If so, do the body mount holes match up or will I have to do some fabricating?

I have a 1995 yj with a 4.0 liter. It has some upgrades like the 62mm throttle body, banks cat back exhaust, cold air intake. It drives fine at normal speeds, but feels like a little hesitation is there, kinda like missing some power. NOW the real issue I have is that at High RPM shen I get on it, just about when it peaks out it will almost like missfire and backfire, then it will stumble for about 10 seconds popping and gurgling and then come right out of it! I did new fuel filter and no change, timing right on.

HELP, what is it

My wife is gonna buy this add-a-leaf set for me for Christmas. I just wanted to know if anyone has ever used it. My YJ has 31's and I don't want bigger tires, just a little more clearance. I don't get offroad as much as I would like, but when I do it is usually a little rocky.....Nothing major. She's also gonna buy me some upper door sliders and a SRC Grill Guard bumper.

I think I'm gonna make out pretty good, but I have to buy her a diamond ring. I need some opinions before she decides to buy.

I have a 2006 Rubicon and the passenger seat is broken. if you're sitting on the seat and lean back, the left side of the seat bends back as if a bracket is broken. The right side stays put, so there's this strange diagonal lean. I tried to look at the bracket, but it didn't seem to be very simple.

Has anyone else had a problem like this? Is there any way to fix it? I don't want to replace it because adapter brackets are way too expensive. Thanks for any help.
