Tube Chassis

So my buddy calls me late Friday afternoon and asks if I wanted to go to Monteagle, TN on saturday. The wife gave it the green light so he came and picked me up. We left my Jeep at home because I had the rear brake lines off and basically I wanted to ride in his new tube chassis.
It was a fun ride to say the least. This thing is basically an overgrown four wheeler and has gobs of flex. Here are the components:
Smaller sized 2 seat Chassis by Frankie's Off Road
Vortec 4.3 V-6 with aluminum radiator for V-8, electric fans, etc...
Th350 automatic with shift kit
Dana 300 with 4:1 kit and upgraded outputs
Dana 60 front with Blue Torch high steer, 35 spline shafts and full hydro steering
Dana 70 rear with Disc Brakes
Both axles 4.56 and Detroit Locked
Sway Away coil overs at all four corners with 4 link setup front and rear
42" Swamper TSL's on Trail Ready Beadlocks.
It was light and quick. There was only one muddy, extremely steep hill that we couldn't climb because the rear end would drag a deep rut and bring the rig to a quick halt.

Hehe... looks like yall had a good time... dan dibble has a bad lookin buggy also.
How many guys were there

There were probably 20 or so vehicles there. It was my first trip to Monteagle. It's actually closer to my house than the other trails I ride in Birmingham. I'll be going back soon with my Jeep.
I will more than likely be spotting for him at a UROC event near here at the end of the summer. We didn't do so well last year, but I think my buddy has a more competition oriented rig this go round.

I went to Hot SPrings back in 2000 before they made it the Superlift Park. It was a Superlift Adventure Series ride though. There are some good trails there. I'm ready to go back. It's just a matter of getting enough trucks and trailers to haul our butts out there. It's probably an 8 hour tow from here. Not to mention gasoline would nearly kill me. It will be done though, maybe this fall or next spring.
