Does anyone know where to find a list of offroad parks/areas in California? Right now the only places I know of are hollister hills, mendocino nat. forest, pismo beach, and up by lake tahoe.

If you're anywhere near the central valley there's all kinds of good trails up in Kings Canyon/Sierra national forest.

Red Mountain/Coyote Lake
Swamp Lake
Dusy Ershim
Bald Mountain (very easy)

I'm on the mid san francisco peninsula right now, about an hours drive north of hollister. However, next year I will be either down by Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo, or Davis by Sacramento.

Thanks for the info! I'm on the mid san francisco peninsula right now, about an hours drive north of hollister. However, next year I will be either down by Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo, or Davis by Sacramento...that's kinda the reason I was wondering. That and I'd like to go on some 4x4 trips this summer at some new (to me) svra's

RE: Re: RE: The Original Rubicon Express XJ, 1987 Cherokee F

I came across a trail up past Sonora just before you get to Strawberry that had a jeep symbal on it but I have not found out much info on it. Had a lot of snow up there at the time and did not have a lot of time to investigate further.
