Anyone else play?
I've been playing for about a week or so now. Played hold'em for the first time when I joined, and I'm already hooked.
I play on pokerstars.com under the name CJracer7.

RE: Online poker
If you play online, be careful. My brother works for an online gaming company which in the first 3 months of having Texas Holdem had over $34 million in bets run through their site. He's told me that there are people out there who have designed programs to run in the site that monitor and record players moves. The program will run over months and months and record frequent players moves which will over time learn how a person plays. Once they have this information, the person will log into a game and try to hustle you. Their program will tell them what your most likely move will be. If you play frequently, change your screen name as often as possible.

What Craig is saying is dead on. I know 2 guys that have no job and play online poker for their money. They have those programs going. From what they tell me it gives them all sort of statistics on their opponents and how they play. I think it even alerts them when certain marks log in! I didn't believe they could make a living playing poker online, but they say that 90% of people on there are idiots and they have such an edge its almost easy.

Re: RE: Axle fluid leaking into rear brakes
Oh no, I play on the "play money" tables. Just for fun.
I learned my lesson at Foxwoods casino the last time I was in Connecticut.

You can't win when you gamble with computers. It's just not smart

That's the way to do it.
By the way, about changing your username... the programs might recognize you by IP address, so that may or may not work.

that is correct, but you can still sign up for a new account on some sites. you just can't play them at the same time.
the program thing is correct. my friend uses it, it was $50. but he'll play 4 tables at once a few hours a day and make $100+ a day.
i cant play for fake money, people just dont play it right. i mean, why would you, you've got nothing to lose!
foxwoods is fun :) just remember to protect your money when you're not getting cards. the hard part about playing in a casino is that everyone thinks they know how to play now, so you get all types of tourists and old folks that stay in hands with you when an educated poker player would have been out of the hand long ago.
poker is like sex, everyone thinks they're the best at it, but most people really dont know what they're doing.
