The Creepin' Crud....

Yeah, I got it. Started feeling funky last Saturday (a week ago). Then felt alright for a few days, then crappy again for a few days, then ok for a few days, then Friday it hit with a vengeance. Spiking a fever up to 104 every couple of hours, then back down to 97, then a few hours later back to 103...been doing that all weekend, and today. Stayed home from work today because I could barely drag myself out of bed. Now that I've slept all day, I can't get to sleep tonight. And I've got to get to work tomorrow, got a lot of jobs to do that were put on hold because of the crappy weather last week. Even got a few repairs of systems that suffered freeze damage. I'd really rather just die right now......

Re: The Creepin' Crud....

I've been fighting off a chest/sinus infection for about a month now, finally on the very last stages of it, just a hacking cough remaining, much better than the stabbing pains, headaches, fevers, coughing up bright green crap, pain in the gut thing that I was dealing with...

Sounds like it's going around... Waaaayyyy around...

Re: The Creepin' Crud....

Meanwhile, down at Denver General, a man is rushed in by ambulance with severe bilateral open femur fractures from a car accident. Let's listen in:

Rad Tech Domingez: Good evening, sir, what seems to be the problem tonight?

Mutilated patient: I was hit head-on in my Surrey by a semi going 75mph, and broke both my legs. My wife and two kids were killed, and the Surrey burst into flames. I got severe burns because I couldn't get out of the Surrey fast enough because the broken bone ends kept snagging on the lush upholstery of the inside of the Jeep. Oh, God, it hurts!!!!

Rad Tech Domingez: Walk it off, ya sissy!

Ya, that's pretty much how it'd go. Then I'd slap his mother. How dare that ******* ruin a surrey.

Hot tea with clover honey and Christian Bros. brandy. Worked for Grandpa, works for me, and it'll work for you, too

That's what my Grandma always had, too. Several years ago, before I met Sunshine and while I was a paramedic student, I dated a doctor briefly, and she prescribed a shot of cinnamon schnapps with 4-5 drops of tobasco sauce in it. That's worked pretty well so far. A couple of those a night, and I sleep like a baby!
