Re: Jeep trivia time
Next question: What size tires can you clear on an XJ with a 3" body lift?

Re: Jeep trivia time
Trick question... XJs do not respond well to body lifts since they are of a unibody construction...
New question:
What was written wrong in the owners manual for YJ Wranglers with manual transmissions that sent many of them into the shop for repairs before their time?

Was it a misprint on the trouble codes?

Yeah, the don't respond well, because you'd have to put the entire unibody on another chassis in order to put a body lift on it. But then I suppose it'd be a "unibody" lift.

Re: Jeep trivia time
Correct! What they recommended for the manual transmissions in the owners manual had certain additives and such that destroyed the synchronizers, sending many a YJ to the shop, or an early grave due to transmission failure.

Re: Jeep trivia time
Ok this is for the TJ'ers.
What year did D.C. change the TJ, removing the last few peices of YJ's that were still innerchangable with TJ/YJ?

Re: Jeep trivia time
OK Mingez your getting closer....but it was 2001. In 2001 the last of the mechanical controls for the AC and Cruise control was replaced with fully electronic. Thus they changed the sides of the dash and up-rights. In 2001 they also changed the transmission tunnle in preperations of the Rubicon that came out in 2003.
