stuck in park
while usin my 2003 jeep wrangler in 4x4 low i stopped put it in park when i returned to my jeep it was stuck in park, can anybody help?

Can you put the transfer case in any other gear? Maybe get it into neutral or 4high?

Are you stuck on a hill/slope? Automatics will seem stuck in park if there's lots of pressure on the "park pawl". Can you rock it a bit and see it frees up??

i'm on flat ground and have tried rocking it, checked the safety switch and fuse nothing seems to work

Have you checked the linkage at the transmission?

yes the linkage has been checked the newer models have an actuator( i guess thats what it is called) that will lock up the linkage if it doesn't git the correct electronic signal, some vehicles have a switch that can be used to release it but if my jeep has one then i cannot find it

If it does, the shift lock would be right next to the shifter. also, the vehicle can not be running to over ride.

Obviously, You have to hold the brake while shifting from Park. I don't know what signals the transmission to tell it you are holding the brake, but you may look there. Could be part of the brake light switch.
