Simple answer is pressure. When you drive, high pressure is created outside your vehicle due to the displacement of air around the vehicle. The interior is not subjected to as much of a pressure change since it is out of the airstream. A vacuum of sorts is created by the high pressure sucking out the low pressure. I think you need Mr. Wizard for the full explanation.
