I just blew my 4 banger in my 95' Wrangler and I'm getting a new one put in but I am trying to find out how much more work it is to through a 6 cylinder in there. Is there a lot of changes that has to be done and is the transmission the same as a 4.
Please help
mike

Tread Lightly

YES
different tranny's all together. The 4 cyl uses the AX5 while the 4.0 has a AX 15 (except newer models) The motor mounts will have to be cut off, and new ones welded in place. The computer will need to be replaced as will things like fuel pump (I think is required) and all the sensors.

Throw 4 new hampster under the hood, and be proud that you got them!
