A Bling-Bling Project
I am looking at a jeep for my 15 year old brother I found a nice project jeep for him and I. Is 1400 a good price for a bone stock 4cyl 1985 cj-7 with no doors or top. It runs fine and has some surface rust. I have seen guys post on here about getting a jeep for a grand and saying the guy that sold it was a fool.

There is a 79 in the Auto locator for $900.00 with a 350 in it.

Sounds ok.But I myself would not get a 350 or even a V8.It wont get good mpg.And it will be harder to smog.Me,I am a 6cyl kinda guy.Great torque,good mpg,and power.I wouldnt go for a 4cyl if you have free-ways that you would be using daily or often.My cj with 6cyl will do 85.And that is what I needed being out here in california.But,back to the point,if you live away from the city with rarly any 75 mph action.Go for the 4.If you have to be able to go 85,get the 6.If gas and smog is easy to pass and you have some spare cash,go for the 8.
