Y'know... they discontinued the Cherokee, for whatever reason, and here they are making a Wrangler that looks rather similar in wheelbase with that soft top on... Extended cargo space, and leg room, and blah blah blah... Instead of eliminating one, and creeping out another, why not just leave well enough alone?

Well, I'm certainly no fan of DC's decision to end production of the XJ Cherokee... but supposedly production was stopped due to their unability to modify the Cherokee so as to pass new safety standards that come into effect each year. Although some say they should have redesigned it, it would probably have been too costly or difficult (and of course not in their interest) to modify the Cherokee's Unibody design
