i think stingers are ugly because most people don't use their jeep in a way that requires a stinger

IMO any custom feature ought to suit you. I'd install whichever bumper suits my tastes, needs and budget.

What is the function or look that you are trying to achieve?

if you put either of those on a stock wrangler with no lift or other bells a whistles, I'm afraid it would look pretty silly.

I didn't have to make a choice... my wrangler had aftermarket bumpers on it when I bought it.
I kind of like the Body Armor look for my '91 YJ
