Electrical- 350gm smallblock wont stay charged

ive put a 350 gm smallblock 4barrel carb with gm auto trans into my 1997 tj. driving home from work my battery gauge goes to zero. wont start again when i get home but it registers roughly 11 volts on my dc voltmeter. have new alternaotr new starter and new battery. HELP. p.s. will start after a fresh charge which ive been doing every couple days. will start if jumped.

When it's running disconnect the battery cable. Does it still run ?

What type of alternator do you have?

Couple answers needed to diagnos
Won't start or won't crank?
Also you must have an electric fuel pump?
Where are the grounds located?
Do you have an electronic ignition?

if you have a manual FP and this is happening, problem may lie in a Bad Ground either with the alt. or the HEI
