Valor SD-906W Wont fit???

hello i purtchased a Valor SD-906W in dash dvd player and i was told by crutchfield that it wont fit into my car and that i needed practiccally 1 more inch to properly install that in my dash ( depth wise, meaning i have 6 in deep and i need 7") is there a in dash install kit that will protrude one more inch that will allow me to install this... its a 2002 jeep grand cherokke laredo 4.7l with standard unit ( NOT infinity)

My advice would be to go to a car audio shop that professionally installs these units. If anyone is going to know for sure what you will need to mount this stereo, it would be them.

Have you tried removing your existing radio to see what's back there? Maybe there is something that you could re-route (although probably not).

I did a quick search and couldn't find any kit that would give you an extra inch.

thanks for the reply's guys. im starting to think i could still fit it. but it would just be slighlty exposed or loose to some degree. i gues ill have to just check the clearence my self and go from there,
