Hey everyone! I have an XJ. So I am looking into getting a lift. Was going to do a 2" spacer and add a leaf. But I need EVERYTHING replaced. I have horrible sag on my car. How is the x-series lift? Is it better if I save up for the rubicon express kit? RC is 900 Rubicon express is 1,050 Or...

so I can change my xj lights to projector housings, and an HID kit? It is totally legal? In my state it doesn't say anything about it. That's why I was asking

I live in nj, want to add HID lights to my xj. Anyone who knows, the original lights suck. I can barley see. Is it legal to do this?

Awesome, thanks. I got a 2" soacer lift with 2" add a leaf for the rear. Want a decent size lift without looking too big. But enough for me to notice a difference and get some tire clearance. This will be best of both worlds for me. Nice size lift, plus space

I know using cool spring compressors at every dangerous. I am not trying to do this in a dangerous way. I am installing cool spacers, if I just disconnect the shock, brake lines, sway bar link, control arms etc..will this be safe? I want it easy in and easy out, will this keep it from "popping"...

Would an "add-a-leaf" be good enough? Not too worry about how it rides. Had a Cj before this. It was like riding with rocks as wheels

Hi, I am looking for a small lift..about 2" and was going to use 2" cool spacers for this for now, since I am a college student on a budget. I know it has could on the front, but then what do I do about the back? How does that get lifted?

Wow you are all right. I was totally wrong. Completely screwed that one up...happy I don't have to spend money now!

Where it actually mounts to the block. The bolt patter on the YJ 4.2 is 2 on the bottom and one on the top. The CJ has 2 on the top and 1 on the bottom(I believe) . So if I buy the Cj engine mounts that go to the block, it will be upside down.

good to hear! I do just have one problem, the motor mounts for the YJ engine are bolted up differently than the cj mounts. The pattern is reversed. Would I fabricate the frame to fit YJ mounts? Or should I not even bother and buy a new engine. Not trying to do that, trying to cut costs.
