I have a 1972 amc jeep cj-5. It has the stock 3 speed transmission in it still. What i am looking to do , is put a newer automatic 5 speed trans in it. What would be the best fit for this model? Could i use a newer jeep trans?

I have a dragbar that is broken on the part that connects to the axle. What would be the easiest way to reattatch it? Should i drill it out and put a bolt back throught it? Thank you for your help.:p
