    what do I have?

IMHO, there's no reason to replace the 20 with a 300 unless you really need the deeper gearing. Not disputing that the 300 has its advantages, but the 20 is a solid, stout transfer case--if it ain't broke, don't fix it. You can also regear the 20, but that's expensive. If you need deeper...

where does the CJ5 rear bumper bolt to?

I concur. The front bumper is a front bumper. Perhaps the receiver is there for a receiver-mounted winch. Some people put those there so that they can move a winch from one end to the other, and so that they can remove it when it's not in use. It looks like you have a nice flush-mounted rear...

    How much is your insurance?

There are really too many factors to consider to be comparing drivers like this. The factors include, but aren't limited to, policy limits, number of other insured vehicles, claim history, credit history, age, marital status, driving record, type of insurance, where you live, number of miles...

Sorry for the late reply--haven't been on here in a while. It's been a while since I've been to Windrock, and the trails keep changing. Sometimes they get eroded and harder, and sometimes they get graded and no fun at all. I've ridden trail 3, which used to be pretty good, but I don't know...

Got hit by a drunk driver

I'm glad everyone was okay. Note to all: this is an excellent example of why you should never decline Uninsured Motorist (UM) coverage.

    1973 Jeep Cj5 $500

The wiper motor is mounted on the outside on that model. It should be all the way to the driver's side of the windshield above and slightly inboard of the hinge. If you look carefully at the full size blow up on that picture, you can see where it was mounted. There's a squarish hole next to a...

    1973 Jeep Cj5 $500

Not a big deal, but the wiper motor appears to be missing. I'd get it for that price for just a parts vehicle. If you can't make it run or it turns out to be a basket case, you can still part it out for what you had in it. By the way, if you do, dibs on the windshield.

Where did you put your CB Antenna?

I put mine on the rear bumper, so it doesn't extend as high over the roof line. I consulted a guy who works with CBs for a living, and apparently, the best location for the antenna is going to vary between vehicles. Probably something to do with wave lengths, although I didn't get that...

    locker or lsd

I run the OX in front and love it. It certainly costs more than an LSD, and I had mine professionally installed, so I don't know about how hard it was. But it works when I need it to, with relatively little hassle. Pulling the cable lever isn't as mindless as flipping a switch for an air...

    Obama speech

I thought it was quite good on many points, although I thought the implicit criticisms of the Bush adminisistration (and perhaps earlier ones, as well) was somewhat unnecessary given that they (the past presidents) were all on the podium with him. And while there are many who do not agree with...
