check the linkage from the lever inside the Jeep to the transfer case, it sitas in a rubber bushing and on my XJ it had come out and was jamming.

I would use braided flexible hoses too as they will route wherever you want, and any good hydraulkics shop should be able to fit the right ends on them
some 4 litre owners over here have reported better oomph when accelerating but that may be the placebo effect. the only true way to test is get it on a dyno.
