    this should work...in theory....

I believe also, that it COULD work. But......... If................... you're lucky enough the carb fits the intake........:???: what about...... the existing fuel rail and injectors......:???: you'd STILL...... need a fuel pump......probably external electric......:-| how to...

Brake Lights not working, everything else is!!!

Not completely related, but I'm having the same issues with a '96 Explorer. Fuses, brake light switch, etc is good. I have power(checking with testlight) going into the stoplight switch, and power coming out when pedal is depressed. From there, the wire gets lost in a huge bundle of wires under...

    Painfully Honest Mobile Home Commercial

    Roof rack on hard top

Looks nice! Girlfriend has a wrecked '96 exploder she picked up for parts, for her 'good one'. Besides the rear axle, I now have to buy the roof rack off her! But, just wondering why you used tapping screws? Could a person use regular bolts? I don't think I like the idea of the pointy screws...

    Roof rack on hard top

Keep us updated. I too am interested in a setup like this. My biggest concern is the strength of the top, and how I could spread out the load, on the rack mounting points, so the hardtop doesn't crack.

    CJ-5 Slide-In Camper

    How many?

5 Best one is the current Jeep. One I wish I still had, was a '72 Jimmy, 350 4speed, on 31x10's. Crude, highly capable, and went through hell without breaking. Kept surprising me every time out. One I'm so happy is gone, '77 F-250, 400 auto, also on 31x10's. Plain and simply useless...

    dicuss about china products

I was just gonna say the same thing about Japan, but ya beat me to it! I remember back in the late '60's, early '70's, any tool you bought from there was cheap. But they'd either bend, or snap. Absolute junk! Most anything else from there, was the same. Cheap to buy, but really, shoulda been...

    4.0 head on 4.2....what's needed?

Looking into doing this swap. What years 4.0 head do I look for? I'll be staying with a carb, at least for now. What other things will I need to do, and look for?

jeep keeps dyin out of no where

Not too many suggestions to help you out here, so here's my 2 cents. Too me, sounds like a possible ignition module. Fords were notorious for this symptem. And I believe a lot of Jeeps used the Ford ignition system. A way to check it out is, next time it dies, pour some cold water over the...

    YJ in -30Celcius

It's not a issue of producing heat. It blows hot, and lots of it. It's the heat loss that's gonna become a concern. 60 MPH down a highway at -30, sucks heat away FAST!

    YJ in -30Celcius

Lol! Nope! Not quite that old.....yet. Workin' at it though! Ok. Good to hear. Still gonna rig up the auxillary heater too though. I just keep remembering when it was around 0Celcius(freezing mark), how the Jeep lost heat out on the highway. If it's too much heat, bummer. I can shut them down...

    YJ in -30Celcius

It's not the winter maintainance, block heaters, oils, antifreezes, etc I'm worried about. 45 years in this climate, I got it figured. But, it's me! Getting wimpy in my old age! Wanna be warm when I trek out for a few hours, without dressing like an eskimo. Anyway, thinking it 'should' be...
