    Installing Posi Lock

RE: Hello LR, you must ask for a "Tandem bike" brake cable. You know, those 2 seater bikes? Go to a real bike shop (not Wal-Mart or something). Not sure if you have this, but better to post than not to: http://home.earthlink.net/~stevenschreiber/cabledis.htm corey

Black Smoke + Bad Milage = Upset Mike right on, sully! The sawzall kit fits more than just front fenders, too! :)

    Factory wheel backspacing

Most laws regarding tire width are if the tire protrudes outside the fender wells then it might be an issue. Corey

    Factory wheel backspacing

Don't know about CJs, but the YJ came with 5.25" backspacing. Depending on your tires, your lift, your axles, and your state laws, I would suggest 3.75" backspacing. Most tire shops will be able to help you find the right bs for your rig. corey

33" tires and need a matching rim

RE: Oh, happy day!!! Agree. You could go 10", but you'll keep your bead on better with an 8" rim. This is arguable from both sides however. If your vehicle is more than 50% on road, a 10" rim will give you better performance. It's all about preferences. Corey

Do I need to regear for 33's?

Bad. I'm not sure it's worth it to regear a Dana 35. At best, I would do a junkyard search for a same model Jeep (looks like TJ) that had the 2.5L and manual transmission. Pull those axles and swap 'em in. They have 4.10 gears. That will help... slightly. But I'm not sure that's even worth...

    oil pressure

RE: AMC 20 identification At your next oil change, add a can of "Restore Engine Restorer" first, and then add your oil. This stuff really does help. My 2.5L has over 170K miles on it and my oil pressure was just like yours. I've been running this Restore crap for 6 months now (2 oil changes)...

    Vacuum system problems

RE: This Weekend@Super Lift ORV Park It is possible that a body lift will stretch the vacuum lines too much causing problems. Open the hood and follow the vacuum lines off the front axle. If your YJ is like mine, those lines are bundled in a nice long piece of split-loom (ribbed flexible...

13.5" wide tires fit on 4" lifted YJ?

Height will fit and you'll only have rubbing if you don't have your bumpstop extensions installed. The width of the tire might rub your leaf packs, but getting some wheels with more backspacing will fix this. I would go with 3.5" or 3.25" backspacing. 4" backspacing is definitely going to rub...

    bfg muds vs. mtr

RE: Ever see these pictures BFG gets my vote. Unless you like throwing benjamin's out the window just to see how far they fly. 212 for 1 tire is ridiculous. But apparently, the MT/R's have a super-tough sidewall. Corey

do you guys think these is a fair price for these my jeep???

I'm in Charleston, SC and your jeep would fetch closer to $5k here. I'd ask $4500 minimum and be willing to go down to $3500. But I wouldn't take less than $3500. But that's me... corey

    Greasable Vs. Non-greasable

RE: Broken rear axle Fab 'em up. Just get some 2" wide, 1/4" thick steel. Paint em and drillem. Ready to roll.

    Broken rear axle

Go here: http://www.ok4wd.com/product.asp?id=547 and buy a ready-to-bolt-in Ford 8.8 with whatever gearing you want (almost), a limited-slip, and disc-brakes upgrade. The whole thing ready to bolt-in for about a grand. Super upgrade, brand new axle. I wish my rear axle would break. corey

got 4" lift, now need tires & pwr strng ?s answered

RE: Why Kerry isn If you plan on keeping those stock rims, you need to get the skinnier tires. 12" wide tires on stock rims will rub your leafs (assuming YJ). I will also backup TC on the BFG 33x10.50 recommendation. In fact, I roll on 33x10.50 BFG mud-terrains and love em. The skinnier...

    newbie questions

RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: 2006 FJ - It I'm not sure everyone answered your question in respect to the way you asked it. You can fit any tire on a 15"x7" stock rim provided the width isn't too wide and the tire is designed for a 15" rim. I've seen 12.5" wide tires on a 7" wide rim. I don't...
