im confused ! what is expensive about valve stem seals? do they need machining or something on that motor? I just replaced mine on a gm 350 for like $19.59. 4 hrs of work. i just looked up valve stem seals for tj. there $12.00??????

gm transmissions are a dime a dozen auto's i suggest th350,700r4. Standard sm465 they fit perfect and with the rite planning you may not have any driveline/diveshaft issues! Good Luck

i know this is the obvious, but did you check the vacume line into the brake booster? that happen to me once (though i dont like to admit) after installing a body lift. I checked everything before i checked that hose rit in front of my face!:)

Thanks for the info. i was told i couldn't do much with the cam being its TBI setup. i just replaced the seals, cured the problem! i see the comp cams magnum roller tip rockers seem to be popular in the offroad community. I'll worry about this at a later date. It moves like hell anyhow. thanks...
