    me again... coolant loss

When I had a leak in that area it was the heater control valve. It was just barely dribbling out of there.

    studdering on part throttle

RE: Im Back!!! Under part throttle and light load my jeep has a slight studder to it. Seems to me like the fuel is cutting on and off. I am figuring that it is probibally the fuel pump as I had noticed a recent change in pitch in the location of the fuel pump. When I give it full throttle...

    Coolant Sensor? leaking

Just for future reference, the part that was leaking was the heater control valve. Replaced it, and it seems to be holding it's temperature ok. I didn't relize what temperature the electric fan comes on. It was kicking on just above the 210 mark, and would cycle on and off, so it appears...

    Coolant Sensor? leaking

I got to take a better look at it today in the daylight. It looks to me like it is in the coolant line feeding the heater core and it has a white wire coming out of it going to the heater core. I can't find anything about it in my shop manual.

RE: Re: RE: tire advice for newbie I have also noticed that my electric radiator fan is not kicking on when the car gets warm.

    Coolant Sensor? leaking

Re: RE: Re: RE: What President Bush I have a coolant leak that is coming from something that looks like some sort of sensor. I took a picture to show what it is. It looks like it has a solid connection to a pipe that splits in three. What is the sensor and what does it do. Thanks, John

    Swing out tire carrier

RE: Here are the pictures of my bumper mounted tire holder upper. I personally hate the thing. It looks like you would need to get a new rear door or put some pretty hefty holes in the rear door. Also the weight of the swing out arm with the tire on makes my bumper flex a lot, and the thing...

    Water pump disaster

RE: Comparing 2.5 litre TJ to 4.0 re: off-roading, performa You might want to inspect your hoses now too. Shortly after i replaced my pump I blew one of my hoses. A healty pump means slightly more pressure and the possibility of failures at the next weak point.

We dun need yer stinkin sportscar

Those might be real numbers for those cars they tested against, but i would hardly consider that a sample of the sports cars on the market today. 15.25 is not too shabby for a quartermile for that jeep though. But the mitsubshi evo 8 and the subaru wrx sti are both sub 14 seconds in the...

    My Brakes/Suspension paper

I don't know if you are still looking for a topic, but you could also do something comparing a solid front axel to a independant front suspension in off road applications, as that seems to be a hot topic considering that most/all of the jeeps in the future are going to be made with independant...

    serpentine belt

When i replaced my water pump i went through the same thing except to get the belt off. You have to undo 3 bolts on the power steering pump to release it and then you have to use the adjusting bolt to release the tension. Unfortunately, i don't think mine was moved in years and was frozen in...

    88' Cherokee won't start

You don't think that hitting the starter with a hammer and then having it work is a good indication of a failed starter? I am just trying to make sure that i am not missing something else. I really don't want to pay someone else to fix something that i am capable of doing myself.
