Hello, sorry it took me so long to get back with you on the engine swap. Im sure if you have the motor and tranny it would work. They should be the same diamiter. Even if they arent the same diamiter you can make anything work. A lot of guys put in V8 motors so there is plenty of room. Hope it works out for you.

I have the same jeep! Maybe you can tell me if i can switch out the V6 from an 86 for my better 4L Straight 6 off my 88. Front end damage is to costly to repair. Thought engine switch or even body switch would be less expensive. Any thoughts?
