So I have a 97 TJ and I can grab the rear tire at the top and pull and push it back and forth about a half a inch and it is also making noise. A rattle type noise. I have no experience with axles at all except changing front wheel bearings and pinon seals. So I am not quite sure what the issue...

Well it is throwing codes for the O2 sensors. Just dont know what one so I will be replacing then all. Hopefully this works....

Im in the Squim PA area just thought I would try to get this going again. I have a 97 tj with a 4" lift and 33's. anyone in my area want to hook up and do some back road trips/wheelin?

Bogs from the start have not had a chance to check codes installed a acell super coil today still nothing. Ran some seafoam through the vac system and added some to the fuel today also. Will check for codes tomorrow.

I have a 1997 tj with a 2.5. I recently did a tune up because it was bogging down and almost have to put your foot to the floor to get it to move. needless to say it did not help. I have checked every vacume line and every plug on the wiring harness and still cant figure it out.:???: SOOOO ANY...

The sensor tells the computer what pressure the pump is at. At low speed the computer reads the info and the rpm info and adjusts the rpm as necessary to turn the tires without a huge strain on the pump or the driver having to fight the wheel to make the tires turn.

You could also have a issue with the power steering pressure sensor. I had the same issue on my 97 TJ and that turned out to be the problem. I replaced the faulty sensor and have had no problem since. The sensor is right behind the pump on the high pressure line and has some wires going to it. I...
