Well, over the weekend I put in a new distributor cap and rotor button, the spark plug wires had all been replaced about a month ago so I put some dielectric grease on all the connections, replaced the fuel filter and checked for fuel pressure.... and it still ran the same exact (bad) way. So...

This morning my jeep started, ran at a low idle then when I put it in gear and hit the gas it died. It preceded to do this three more times, so I let it sit for a good 6 hours. I just started it up and let it idle for 5 minutes and now it seems to be running fine... any ideas about the problem...

Alright, thanks everyone. I think I'm gonna probably go with just checking over the whole steering system and make sure I know exactly where the problem is coming from before I go out and buy stuff that I might not need. Thanks again.

XJ 4.5" Rusty's lift, need drop pitman...

Hey I have the 4.5" Rusty's lift and I seem to be getting some binding in the steering system. What amount of drop for a pitman arm do you suggest? I've been getting different stories from people I know ranging from 1.25" to 5". Thanks

Thanks! It definitely does need some more trimming, which is what I'll be doing tomorrow after work. At this point I get some nice rubbing at full lock when the suspension is flexed at all. As for the rear, I might just trim to the spot welds and bumpstop the rest. I'm not much of a rock crawler...
