This is a hail marry but once I had a starter with a short that would drain the battery over night !?

Sorry about that missed the part about the new battery !! Does the gauge show that the alternator is charging ?

Have you had your battery tested ? Sometimes when that happens it kills the battery and it won't take a charge .

This will be the easiest question for most ! I feel kinda dumb to ask but what year did they switch models I have a 89 yj and the tub is bad . I found a 95 wrangler on craigslist just the tub he will swap for mud tires . I just need to know what's the latest year that will work on my 89

Sounds like the angles on your drive shaft are not right . Was it professionally put on ? Mine was doing that when I did a l.o.a. I bought a 4 inch leaf lift with the angle wedges built in and dropped them back under the axle . That took care of my problems .

If you have put a body lift on it check to see if the shifter is hitting the floor .

Will this hurt the front axle when the transfer case is not engaged into 4 wheel

The front axle keeps popping in and out . I changed the vac switch on the transfer case and it still does it . For some reason I have vacuum on both sides of the vacuum switch on the axle so there canceling each other out . Any ideas ???

I drove into a ditch ...yes on purpose at less then 5 mph. MY jeep made a loud popping sound now it knocks I believe in the transmission , any input on what might have happened ? I also am wondering how hard it is to change from a manual to an auto trans and what trans should I look for for ?
