Was that the first time you have changed your transmission oil? If so: How long have you owned the Jeep? What type of trans oil did you use? GL3? GL5? Synthetic? If not? What type have you been using?

Yeah, a coil conversion is kind of a waste of time and money. If you are going to move in that direction, a "coilover" conversion would be the way to go. That said, I'm down with the above-mentioned KISS theory. LEaf sprung Jeeps are so much simpler, and when done right can provide the wheel...

They both make so many, it is hard to compare unless you can show which ones specifically you are looking at. Both are very well respected manufacturers.

Ya might want to start with telling us what it is going on. I mean we're all guessing it's a Jeep, but which model/year? For starters, you're going to need a lot more work to go along with that much lift no matter what year it is. Give us some more info and we'll go from there. TC

Yeah I found out about that right after my first YJ rolled down a hill into a parked Chevy S10. They were releasing themselves. Not sure if this would help the OP, but you should check with a dealership to see if yours has been done and if it is not too late. Maybe you'll get a free fix out...
