    YJ Traction(anti-wrap)Bar- Build or Buy?

Google Bambar.... Interesting idea for an antiwrap bar. I think I've got enough room under my YJ to try it.... I was going to build a support for my rear dana 44 at the same time and tie it into the same cross member that I use for my long travel shocks. I've been trying to figure out a way...

    Exhaust opinions

Usually it's more difficult to get the old one out than put the new one in.... A recip saw or cut off tool helps out lots.

    33x12.5 15 on 8 or 10 inch wheel?

I liked running 10" wide (wide footprint before you even start to air down).... and aluminum rims (I rarely "rock craw") I usually play in the dirt, some mud and snow.... and this will be a never ending debate....

Will these TJ accessories fir a YJ? Sliders/bumpers

Updat.... I picked up the items listed above for a bit under the asking price. The Warn Bumper/rack fit right up using the 8 mounting holes on the rear "crossmember." Which I reinforced with some fabbed brackets to the frame tube. The sliders look like they will work well with the YJ front...

    windshield replacement

I had a pro do my last windshield replacement for $150 which included all parts, a little rust repair, a leak free installation warranty and he did it in my drveway. I live an hour from the closest glass shop. Well worth the cash IMO.

    New body tub

Nice.... and that '95 tub should be galvanized..... IMO TJ flares will fit well in the back with some cutting/grinding but I don't really like how they look in the front. They look like they're forced to fit in the front with the YJ or CJ fender lines.....

    Rubicon axels in a YJ

Oh yeah.... Also keep in mind that the manual hub locks on the front dana 44s require a 5x5.5" lug pattern instead of the YJ 5x4.5 which would mean you might have to purchase new wheels as a part of your project. Just swapping out the rear axle would let you stick with the origional lug pattern.

    Preferred hard door handle

I vote for the YJ style hangles for sure..... I do think they are quite a bit more finiky about door fitment. If they're not perfectly lined up they do tend to stick a little.

    Rubicon axels in a YJ

I would keep the 30 until you want to step up to at least a HP Dana 44..... If you're only running 33's with <4.88 gears and a stock motor you should be fine. Maybe swap in the rear Dana 44 or an 8.8.

    Steel or aluminum wheels?

I run aluminum though I do appreciate the advantages of steel and would go with that if I were a regular high desert type rock crawler but I mostly do trails/logging roads here in the Cascade Mtn range which expose my rig mostly to Mud, Dirt and Snow.

IF you had to get new M/T's, which ones?

I was a big fan of the BFG brand prior to the company being bought by the french.... I have run 2 sets of BFGs on my vehicles since then. I would go with a Interco Super Swamper SSR. I commuted from portland to seattle weekly with mine and made a road trip from Oregon to TX averaging 16 MPG...

    SpringOverConv.

Easiest and cheapest choice for sure! Now all you need is the SYE, drive shaft, wheels/tires, gears, lockers, winch, rhinolined tub, front bumper, rear bumper with spare tire rack then you can start upgrading everything. LOL welcome to the vicious cycle.....

    Rock Sliders / Steps

I'm already running the poison spyder rocker knockers with a bar but with 8.5" susp lift and >37" tires this thread got me thinking about ways to fab up "around the town steps that would bolt to the frame and go under the sliders..... hmmmm... might have a project for my week off. Also, it...

Will these TJ accessories fir a YJ? Sliders/bumpers

I'm considering puchasing these two items... will they fit my YJ without too much fab? Warn Bumper/Tire Rack for TJ asking $500 Poison Spyder TJ Rocker Knockers w/ step $245 Whatcha think? Thanks in advance

    SpringOverConv.

Find a local jeeper with the tools and knowledge to help you out with the SOA if you want one. You can make a road/trail worthy yj with 5.5" lift for very little $$. Many of the SUA kits don't come with SYE, SS brake lines, drop pitman arm. I've had both and am very happy with the SOA that...
