helping a friend put a 4.3 v-6 motor and transmission in a 65 cj-5 the motor is out of a s-10 blazer mid-80's and he got the blazer give to him. and together we have good fab skills. has anybody done this to help us out? and what do i need off of the blazer to make this work.

sound like a u-joint has gone bad. lifting it you took out the rear u-joint it has happened before.

you need all of the cylinders working in order for the motor to work right. i would find a AMC motor and put in there.

the 727 that goes behind the ih 345 iit will only fit the 304,345,392 if that is any help to you.
