I'm sorry...I missed everything you were trying to say on account of the blue...it was just unprofessional.

    Sye ??

It will be quite a while before I get the super low crawl setup like an atlas or stack, (that's all part of the "can of worms" law I have dicovered applies to Jeeping). Also, I noticed you're from Portland, I'm from Aurora. between woodburn and Canby just South of Portland. It's been a...

What's up with the Super Swamper LTB's?

I was wondering why the LTB's (light truck bias) Swampers were so much cheaper then every other tire that interco makes. I realize a radial will be more than a bias-ply tire, but the Irok bias and bogger bias are not that much cheaper than their radial counter parts. So what's the deal with the...

    Another Lift question

Hey guys, I'm jst wondering why you would want to install the motor mount lift. How does a body lift affect your driveline angle so that you sould want to raise your engine to fix it??? I'm so confused...:???:

    Bolt what on, the 33's?

    Complete Lift?

SOA stands for spring over axle. It's a conversion you can do to a leaf sprung vehicle where the axle is ussualy mounted on top of the leafs, you weld on new spring perches and mount the axle underneath the leafs. It will give you about 5.5 inches of lift.

    Complete Lift?

See? That's just it. So a body lift isn't the best way to go, but it is the cheapest. You can get a SOA for cheap and it's easy to put in, but 31's would look dumb, (i agree), so you might as well put 33's or even 35's. But now you're running WAY too tall gears with the 3.23s so you need to...

    8.8 / D30 tires?

I figured as long as I took it easy on the thing it should last untill I can afford a new rearend...it's gonna have to! I just have to get the YJ up in the air a little. We all want a Jeep that can tackle any obstacle we point it at, but in all honesty, looks plays a role too. I simply can...

    8.8 / D30 tires?

So I'm ignorant to jeep drivetrain aparantly. I grew up with full size Chevys and muscle cars. I can tell you all about 10, 12, and 14 bolts, but I'm mostly cluelsess when it comes to the Dana world. I have a 91 YJ with a 30 up fromt and a 35 out back, (which...comon sense would tell you the...

    Complete Lift?

Hello smarter people than me, I'm still trying to figure out the cheapest/safest way to get at least 31's under my bone stock 4.0/AX-15 YJ. I think I've got it, as far as cheap goes. 2" body lift from daystar and 1" lift boomerang shackles from Rough Country. All told that's less than $250...

    YOU Build MY YJ...

Jesse, Does the SOA just make it tough on the street? Everyone's heared the horror stories of big body lifts givivng out in wrecks and the tub being launched off the frame, but the SOA seems like it would be pretty solid. I was just wondering because you made it sound unsafe. If it's just a...

    YOU Build MY YJ...

Thanks matt, I like the idea of the 8.8, and I think 4:10s would be low enough for most 33's , but what about some of the larger 35's, (Like most Interco's). I think I'm just going to save my money untill this time next year, (think I'll call dibs on the next tax return check :D), before I...

    Bed Liner On the Exterior?

Ya, I was thinking about lining the interior also. I've heard of people lining the inside of their trunks for their subs, like sound deadening material. Maybe lining the inside of your jeep would help deaden some road noise.

    YOU Build MY YJ...

Oh ya! So it's the H.O. 4.0 L, manual transmission. (not sure what T-case, how can you tell)? Found out Uncle Sam's giving me almost 5 g's back, but the wifey's got a Ninja death grip on that, so... we'll see who wins that battle. Anyway, I was starting to lean towards the SOA, 33x10.5x15...

    Bed Liner On the Exterior?

Well, that's good to hear. Sounds like Rhino is the way to go. I just thought if it worked that well you would see more people running it. I have also heard that the colored rhino doesn't hold up as well as the regular old black stuff. Is there any truth to that? Also, for those of you...

    YOU Build MY YJ...

Alright everyone, I know you've got this a thousand times, but here's a thousand and onel. I just bought a '91 YJ from my wifes uncle. It has 180,000 highway miles on it if you can believe that. The guy is a dentist, (no offense to any dentists reading this), and is just not the type of dude...
