    starting problems, help!

    Also check the hoses between the fuel pump, filter, carb and return to tank line...if you have a leak it will let air into the line and the gas will drain back down to the tank, leaving only the fuel in the carb's bowl for that initial short start. :wink:

    The last 3 times it died, it just quit...no odd noises, sounds just like it would if you turned off the key.

    :oops: Greetings, I'm (trying to) run a stock '85 CJ-7 but am becoming dumbfounded at every turn. It ran terribly rough when I bought it 3 months ago, so I replaced the Carter BBD with a recently rebuilt one...fixed it a little. Was getting terrible gas mileage...until I saw the fuel return...
