Jeep cherokee 3" lift. Transfer case lowering kit?

This can only be answered by you. Check the u-joints first, if they are OK, do the transfer drop.:-)

Jeep cherokee 3" lift. Transfer case lowering kit?

I doubt the manifold has anything to do with the vibes. Check all of your u-joints first. Then tire balance. I am pressing the issue with the u-joints because my jeep has a 3" lift, no trans drop, and it developed a vibe like yours, it was a combination of the tires wore out and a bad u-joint...

Jeep cherokee 3" lift. Transfer case lowering kit?

Does it just "vibrate" or does the front end "wobble"? If it is just a vibration, and everything else (u-joints) are OK, Then a 1" transfer case drop (1" spacer between "frame" and trans mount) may help. Different rigs get different results from doing this. If it is a wobble search death wobble.

    worst time...

I knew my rear u-joint (on the rear yolk) was going out, and thought I could make it home. NOT A CHANCE! When that sucker came out it crushed my brand new muffler, broke the rear end yolk, bent the drive shaft, and busted the transfer case. 20.00 U-joint OR 30.00 muffler 50.00 drive shaft...

how do you bypass a commander stock amp?

You did not sound harsh at all, but a can bus is above my skill level. Besides I never smoked the stuff. Hope he figures it out though. Sucks not having tunes.

how do you bypass a commander stock amp?

Seems like his after market wiring harness adapter would have taken care of this. Like I stated in another post...." it would be going back to the "professionals" who installed it and they would be fixing it". I am going to bow out of this one now, steel, you have just gone over my head. Hope I...

how do you bypass a commander stock amp?

HU is Head unit (the radio). No you cannot only hook up the pos wire to the speakers. They have to be grounded some way to the body. I think your problem lies in the amp not coming on. You need to check the wiring schematics that steelheadz has posted and find the remote wire to the amp and...

06 Jeep Commander aftermarket radio install.....help!

Maybe the front/rear speaker sets share a common ground. If the new wiring harness between the radio and the old wiring harness is hooked up correctly, and you are not installing an aftermarket amp, you should be able to use the factory amp. Does your adapter plug "plug" into the radio or do you...

    CB running on radio speakers

cobras are good, check the back of the cb, there should be a plug (head phone type plug) for external speakers. I would opt for a set of external speakers dedicated to the cb and mounted on/ under the dash type of placement. They sell them pretty cheap (check radio shack, ebay, etc.) and are...

Hub bearing Q what's the difference?

I have not had to change mine in my jeep yet, but on my wife's Chevy venture van, I put the cheap bearing, (because I am a cheap *******) and it has performed well for the last 2-3 years. Of course I am not suggesting that cheaper is better, but, metalurgy has come a long way.Get the good stuff...

    Which rear-end?

I've got a 94 cherokee with a 3" JY lift, running 32" tall tires. It is my DD and usually only do "light wheeling". This weekend I got in a spot where something should have broke, (but it didn't, see video below). That got me thinking about my rear axle. Right now it has a 8.25 Chrysler which...

    Sealer on transmission pan gasket?

Somebody more knowlegable will probably chime in, but typically with any gaskets: Rubber: No sealant, Cork: Minimal sealant (glue gasket to part, let it dry before bolting part on), Paper/cardboard: use sealant, both sides of gasket. I only use the copper, high temp RTV on everything that...
