ugh. I still got a lot longer on my 03. I bought it used in aug. of 06 and got a 60 month. I cant wait to feel what your feeling right now. Probably never buy a vehicle this close to new again. But congrats to you!

My 03 sport has a 44. If I remember correctly the easiest way to tell is if it has the little rubber plug is a 35, if its got a real plug it is a 44. But if you can't even get to it to see that then just do like Terry suggested.

It's pretty much just all personal preference, although I will tell you that you can't really tint the non-tinted soft top windows. Pretty much your only option with them is replacement. So if you want them tinted I'd just got ahead and get them that way from the factory. Nathan

I do live in S.C., but on the other side of the state. I love the state, but I do know that traffic in that area can be a PITA. Don't know too much else about, I just spent 3 weeks there while I was in training, so I didn't really see what it was like to live there.

Yea, you want an 03 or newer. The 02 was the older style TJ seat.

I love racing, unfortunately my one tv station doesn't carry drag racing. Although, I just moved back in september, and I know where a couple of 1/8 mile strips are (somewhat) close to me now, so I may have to go a few times. Nathan

Well I think you can blame a lot of the windshield frame junk on the government. Safety stuff ya know. Thats where all the plastic trim came from I think.

O yea, as for actual differences, there is a big difference in the rubber seal across the top of the windshield frame. And the latches for the tops are narrower on the 03's. And all that stupid plastic trim on the inside of the windshield frame.

I ran into the same thing. I picked up a drill style header (not even made for an 03) along with the safari for it. You can make the drill header fit, but the top will not work right. As much as it sucks, I'd suggest just spending the money on the 03 and up one to begin with. Of course I...
