    Yj SYE kit

If you can afford it, just go with a Tom Woods one. They have great service, and make one fine product! I have their DS both front and rear.

Saving up for a Jeep, which one should I get? Cj, Tj, or Yj

I second JPS4JEEP's advice; I got the YJ for exactly the reasons he mentions, and I do not regret it at all!

Wheeling in Cerro Azil, Republic of Panama

IT FINALLY HAPPENED! After not wheeling for almost a year, I finally took the old girl out for a spin. The trail was fairly light, as many of the participants were taking part the day after in the Central American 4X4 Challenge (4X4 race). There were some cars coming from as far as Nicaragua...

    Remove ABS?

Just make sure the ABS is non active if ypu wheel... I have seen ABS start to work at the worst possible times when slipping on mud and rocks.

    Hello again

Well, my YJ was a ton of fun while I lived in Miami... I actually bought it there for about $6.5K (back in 2006) with 31's and wheels on it (no other mods), but it was an I4. I also bought a Sahara I6 (also a '94, like mine) for a friend a year later that was $6K (this one had Ox lockers...

    Question?

You can; I have a 9# one in my Jeep, but that's more to prevent stalling than to add torque or HP (it help when crawling).

    Question?

The little 4 banger is a pretty good engine. In my experience (have had mine since 2006), the only place where the larger engine is really needed is on the highway; out in the trail, it does just as good as the 4.0L. And I second Bounty's recommendations for a little more power. I would point...

    Noise under floorboard

If the sound frequency depends on speed, check your ring and pinions. Mine went out a couple of weeks ago, and there was an intermittent sound coming from under the Jeep (a kind of thump-thump, thump-thump that seem to come from the transmission area even though it was the rear diff).

    Whoops

If you mud, you want a good winch... Trust me on this one. Warn and Superwinch are the top choices for me. I have the Superwinch EPi 9.0 and it has not let me down in over 5 years, even in mud holes deeper than the one you show. When you are mudding, you need not only consider the weight of...

    Jeep loosing power (Ignition?)

    Jeep loosing power (Ignition?)

The crank position sensor and the injectors were replaced, so its not that. No bad signs on the plugs either. Timing is not adjustable in a YJ as far as I know... how do you adjust the cam sensor?

    Jeep loosing power (Ignition?)

    Jeep loosing power (Ignition?)

I changed all 4 plugs and the problem persists... If it IS the springs (you mean valve springs, right?), I do have a new spring set at home that I could try... As for the fuel rail problem, what would be the need? I am trying to understand the problem that would require wrapping the rail in...

    Jeep loosing power (Ignition?)

Here's the deal; I have been chasing this problem for over a year with no solution as of yet, and I am running out of ideas. THE PROBLEM: when I am driving the Jeep, it sometimes (no particular situation triggers it except that it happens under load, like when accelerating), the Jeep simply...

    Speakers

Polypropylene should hold up fine for at least 3 years to sun and rain. I have my speakers in kick boxes (mod pods) under the doors, and in Panama, it rains 90% of the time, so we wheel with lots of mud. Mine survived for about 4 to 5 years before the ring around the cone gave out.
