    stuck!!

1053298 sounds like something i did one time, cept i was soo stuck that it took a 15,000 LB tow truck winch, and 2 ford F350 Superduty's to pull me out, that was like a year before i did my 350 convert and you couldnt believe how much mud i found in unusual places...haha Quik[addsig]

    Chevy 350 vs Straight 6

1053443 To be honest with you converting your jeep to a I6 is almost as expensive as converting to a 350, i did my 350 swap for 5,000 all together, parts/adapters/labor and it was done in 4 days. I had considered swapping in the 6 and what really swayed my descision was that a jeep with a 4.0...

    Chevy 350 vs Straight 6

1053642 for the price of the supercharger you could put a 350 in their, my buddy did the 350 in his yj also, decided to run with the stock Slip yoke, stock shaft, went with a used engine and transmission that he pulled out of an old blazer and just did a mild rebuild on both, all together his...

    axles ,gears and lockers?

1053730 go with a ford 8.8" rear, the length is right for the wrangler, and you can even find them with Disc brakes usually not to bad from a junk yard, they come stock on mustangs and explorers, and in the explorers have a limited slip diff already, i plan on doing one as soon as i aquire the...

1053734 if you like to go wheeling i wouldnt spend a whole lota money on a paint job....changing the color is much more expensive, but if you want to do it there's a whole lot of the interior that needs to be painted...if you're going to change the color and want to save money you should...

    which exhaust header to buy?

1053769 provided you're still running a cat and muffler i wouldnt worry about the backpressure, i have headman headers on my 350, they're pretty nice, borla also makes a really nice header but they can be a little pricey, stay away from pacesetter Quik[addsig]

    Exhaust

1053790 if you want an exhaust with a nice deep tone to it, the only way you're going to get the sound you're looking for is to drop a v8 in her Quik[addsig]

    hemi jeep

1053958 it would probably make your life easier to get rid of your jeep TCase and just go with a compatible dodge one...other then that all you'll have to worry about is a set of motor mounts and custom made driveshaft...but if my 350 fit i dont see why a 315 wouldnt fit Quik[addsig]

    buying a jeep

1054060 its like i like to say, anything a tj can do my yj can do better :-D but its really all about how much money you're trying to spend, if you're going to go yj go 91-95 with the 4.0 HO 6...great engine and a great jeep...good luck hope you find the one you're looking for quik[addsig]
  17. Q

    buying a jeep

1054092 the HO motor is the way to go, it may be smaller in displacement but they're all fuel injected, and more powerful...nothing against 87-90 YJ's, i just like the HO engine better Quik[addsig]
  18. Q

    Changing Engines

1054161 yeah, i agree with bounty, if you want the 4.0 and dont have a whole lot of custom mods on your jeep i recomend that you just sell it and buy one with a factory 4.0, it will be better installed and just all around a better way to do it, however if you want to keep you're particualr...

    lifting questions

1054270 well i say if you're thinking of going higher then 2.5 or 3" go SOA, you'll keep your stock springs, and stock ride, have 4.5-5" of lift, and be able to run 33's more then comfortable and even fit 35's in neccesary....i wouldnt waste your money on 4" springs, they ride worse and the SOA...
