anyone with full steel doors and a soft top please chime in and lend me a hand
I have a 95 yj with full steel doors as ive been going through the forums and looking online im not sure which soft top would be the best and doesnt leak. Ive read alot that there is a gap in the top part of the door. I dont want to spend 600+ for a top thats gonna let the rain in. Any help...

I have a quick side note Everyone says 4.88 in the 2.5 but what about 4.88 in the 4.0.
The reason why im asking is i want to do an axle swap with my already regeared axles to a 4.0 because it is looking like my jeep may not recover this time
the exact same thing happened with the welds separated on mine i got it re welded and a month or so later boom came apart. hope it works out better for you and i think im gonna have to pick one of these bad boys up
Has anyone tried to weld a replacement rocker panel from quadratec on a yj. the description says that it may not fit on a yj. This is the link
Noram Auto Body Parts 16130-L - Replacement Steel Rocker Panel with Lower Cowl (Driver's Side) for 76-86 Jeep® CJ-7 - Quadratec
Why spend 200 dollars on a flex-a-lite fan when you get could get the Taurus fan for under 50 dollars all day at any junk yard. to each his own i guess i just like to keep money in my pocket or spend it on other mods.
I dont have the link ready but there are multiple conversations about an electric fan install. It isnt very hard at all and will gain about 5 hp is what most would say. When i did mine i bought a dc controller which is awesome just a little pricey about 100 and they have a full wiring diagram...
You could go with their 2.5 springs and go with a quality 1" or less boomerang shackle. People say that lift shackles more than an 1'' or so will diminish the life of you springs and the boomerang style takes a lot of stress of of them
thanks for everyones input the lift kit that I have on right now are 2.5" pro comp leaf springs and 3/4" boomerang shackles and rough country shocks, might I add that these shocks have broken through the hole on the shock mount i mean completely tore the steal. Also the psi i run around town is...
I have a 95 yj with just under 3'' of lift. The ride quality has always been terrible when it comes to any surface that isnt as smooth as glass. I want to upgrade my shocks to either ome or rubicon or any other brand that would help me from getting whiplash every time i hit a bump in the road...
just make a custom box there are tons of write-ups all over the web and find yourself a nice pair of subs or 1 idk how much boom you want and take it from there. As most "box" sets that places like quadratec sells are quite expensive and would make a very nice footrest because they are selling...
you can go to the junkyard and pull a fan out of a 3.8 taurus i got mine for about 35 dollars, If you wanted to get a universal e fan online ive seen them from 100+ thats why the taurus fan is best also the best controller for it is here www.dccontrol.com for the fan. If its between a CAI or...
its a manual transmission, and I actually bought my gears from randys and didnt know they had all of those write ups. It seems pretty straight forward. Thanks.
If you sit on craigslist for a little wile you should be able to find a "relatively" cheap hardtop, that is what I would do because like tlcj5 said only a cj7 should fit but some modification is required
so im sure that ive beaten this dead horse by now but it should all be over in the next couple of days. So my new trans clutch and 4.88 gears have arrived and am taking it to my guy in a little bit so we can start the install. My qualm is after the install is done what tests should i do to make...
did you install tracbar relocation brackets or buy an adjustable tracbar because it isnt long enough and youll notice your shackles dont line up. If this is the case just remove the front and rear, you'll be happier afterward
