    I have used washers as shims at the top between the windshield frame and the roll bar supports to change the windshield angle a little to close the gap.

    can i swap this motor?

    I wonder if a 1972 engine would be allowed in a 1984 chassis as far as CA emission tests go. If in the odd chance it is, you would most likely need to regear the axles because the Datsun engine makes its power at a much different RPM range than the 258 did.

    Re: Diesel I have done a LOT of diesel engine swaps you will not be able to do that swap for $500-800 even with a free engine. The best solution I see for you is the Autozone rebuild.

    The physical size and shape of the doors will fit any CJ7, CJ8, YJ, and TJ. You will need to adjust the door hinges for proper door gap. You will also need to either install the correct door latches or the correct door stryker on your tub so the door will latch shut. I have those exact style CJ7...
