Hi! Here is a site that may explain what you have in the diff. Don't think the make or model matter when it comes to the difference between open and limited slip. www.drivetrain.com/difwhatthedif.html Hope this is of some help to you. Cookie

    leaf spring pop!!!

As Bounty mentioned, the springs can only shift if they are not properly clamped. The U bolt torque is actually quite important, as it is what clamps the weakest parts of the spring pack together. Have you checked the thread length of your u bolts to make sure that the nut is not bottoming out...

    Wanted, wheel info

:) Am thinking of some new wheels for my 92 yj. I know the original wheels (steel) are 15x7's but can't seem to find any reference to what the offset and backspacing is. Anyone got any idea where I can find this info or maybe someone in this knowledgable group has it filed in the old bean.

1057727 Hi! This may be of some help. There should be a vehicle identification plate on the drivers side radiator support that gives the transmission code (lower LH corner), it also gives paint and trim codes. Three speed autos should have a part number stamped on the edge of the left side of...

    yj transfer case shift pattern

1048468 This may sound like a pretty dumb question, but I have aquired a 92 Jeep YJ, 4 cyl. std trans and I think a NP 231 transfer case. I have no owners manual and the original shift knob for the transfer case has been changed. My question is: What is the shift pattern. I have looked at some...
