Where is the fuel pump realy on a 1989 jeep cherokee 4.0L inline six

I got a big thing of rust on the bottom left side of my jeep (it was born in Ohio). I'm not taking it in. What are some opinions on how to remove it?

I start the jeep, sometimes it goes straight up to 2000 rpm, sometimes it starts normal. I've heard vacuum leek, idle control error, egr valve?
