plugs and gap for fuel injection

The fuel tank is the original but there is a new sending unit installed. All the evap lines and canister are new. I put a gauge on the supply and return lines at the throttle body and they are well within Howell's specs. It never seems to come out of the fast Idle condition at start-up Howell...

plugs and gap for fuel injection

Hey folks, been lurking but not posting. Life has once again slowed down so we can start driving the jeep. Many may recall my trials while installing a howell fuel injection kit and trying to sort throught the mess the PO left me with the wiring harness. Oh we've taken it out for little weekend...

    Springs, bushings and such

Yep I made a tiny effort to look at a few of them yetserday. None of them are split all the way through but I might as well have metal washers under there they are so hard.

    Springs, bushings and such

While searching for info on leaf springs I kept running into replies to posts suggesting body bushings. Ok I'll admit this is a new one to me. I'm guessing if you wanted to add tires to big to fit under your fenderwells you could raise your body up a bit with the bushings. What if you didn't...

    Bumper strength

Your 2 cents buys a lot on my posts. I think this is how I'll go. fab a bumper of some sort and mount it as I described. weld some brackets inside the bumper structure to mate up with existing hard points and bolt holes on the cross member.

    what goes in this

    Bumper strength

I really don't want to go through the trouble to remove the rear cross member. Seems like is not a simple operation. If I take some 3/16 or 1/4 ( probably 1/4) u channel and install it over the Cross member do you think this would beef the area up enough to hold a swing out tire carrier. I would...

    Bumper strength

Thanks. I've been going over the overall design and bumper attachment. I have not thought much about the bearing yet. Have not gotten That far into it really but I don't think I would have thought much about it. I was thinking the bearing would just have to be strong when swinging it out and the...

    Rusty floor boards

I replaced some panels like flatie46 had suggested with a little difference here and there. I placed the new panel where it would go and drew the outline of the panel. Then I cut out the rust, making sure I got back to good metal but stayed within the lines. Used the wire cup on a grinder and...

    clutch Pedal adjustment???

Yep my CJ is hydraulic also. No cracks where the pedal mounts to the firewall and the small adjustment on the actuator did not make a difference. I'll have to add a spacer to the pedal so she can engage it. Her short legs just cant push it far enough.
