My new Ground Pounder Fab Jeep bumper

I know this is an old thread but I just wanted to toss in a shameless plug for Groudn Pounder Fab. I came across this just doing a google search for Ground Pounder Fab and thought it was cool to see so many people that like Eddie's stuff. Eddie is a great guy and one of the nicest you'll meet...

Haven't checked in in a while

Just wanted to stop in and say hi. I know some of the newer guys don't know me but I've been around for a while. I've been in Montana working on a ranch teaching guests to drive H1's. Hell of a job... Anyway I've been hanging out in beautiful Montana, climbing a bunch and working on these...

It's been a while, but I come with good news

That's hard to say. I'd still love another rig and I'd love another Jeep especially. I really want to just build another tube buggy and not mod a Jeep to be something it's not as well. I still have a lot of desire and passion for wheeling, but until I settle down somewhere I don't see me...

I'm guessing you mean "fabulous" in this manner? And yes, Brokeback took place on a ranch in Montana.

It's been a while, but I come with good news

I know I haven't been around here in quite some time. I really should be, but since selling my rig this past August I haven't had much motivation to reminisce. I've mostly been doing a lot of rock climbing. Anyway, just wanted to stop by and say hi. Oh, and I landed a job in Montana driving...

dana 35 to 8.8 ford question

You might be able to. What engine do you have? If you have a 4.0 and need a slightly longer drive shaft you might be able to swap in one from a 2.5 to make up the difference. It's been a while since I did mine. I can't remember the difference in the pumpkin lengths.

I'm about to sell a piece of me.

I'll be here. I've been kind of sparse as of recent because I'm home for the summer but I'll be back at school where I can waste more time doing nothing. :D

I'm about to sell a piece of me.

So I'm driving down to sell my Jeep tomorrow morning. Meeting the guy halfway from Florida in South Carolina. I've got memories for the past 6 years with this Jeep... It has brought me so many good times and been the cause of lots of good friendships. It's also been the cause of many...

    Do SYEs fit all 231s?

You won't have to press any bearings out. The bearings I was referring to are in a transfer case part on the YJs. When they made the 231s for the TJs they went to a solely fluid boundary between the gear and the mainshaft. Nothing gets pressed on or off the main shaft in a TJ when you install...

    Dont buy Procomp tires!

I've had Procomps on my Dad's Jeep and his 2500 Duramax for the past 7 years without a problem. I'll stick to my own track record.

    Do SYEs fit all 231s?

The SYE will work. They're all the same. For the YJ's they have you press out the bearings from one of the sprockets that rides on the main shaft. The TJ's already do not have the bearings. You should be just fine. The 231 from the YJ might give you trouble if you try to instal the case whole...
