Time to upgrade my 4.0 with the fresh rebuild I just got through with. One question at the back of my mind is charging the cooling system somewhat before initial startup and cam break in. Do I just fill the radiator and overfill the reservoir the night before, and just let the thermostat open...

Cleaned the IAC. When those go out, the jeep won't idle and dies. Happened on a wrangler I own. Or it will idle low rpms.

Just got through pulling off the throttle body and giving it a good cleaning inside and out. Also cleaned the position sensor and the idle stepper motor. No change in idle speed still at 1,050:???: any ideas?

What is the correct idle speed for the 4.0 Cherokee xj. Mine idles at 1050 rpm hot, with Manual transmission.

Looking at picking up a Grampa jeep that has not even set foot in the dirt! 94 jeep Cherokee sport 4x4 with 104,000 miles:D I can see that the rear end is the Chrysler 10 1/4 27 spline I believe. Has anyone done a disc brake conversion on one of these?

I pulled up a carfax on this vehicle before my test drive and saw that there was an issue with a accident with a total loss. I asked the dealership about it and they stated that the vehicle was hit in the rear driver panel and the insurance company totaled it instead of fixing it. For asking...

Doing a little research on these, I guess some came with the Chrysler 81/4 rear axle. That would be a big plus over a c-clip 35! It does have the tow package.
