Lift your TJ - installing a Rubicon Express 2" coil spacer kit

The hieght will only affect the toe, caster and camber will remain the same as evident in the print out. Good job. Thats what I will be doing as soon as I free up some cash. Have you decided on tires? 31's or 33"?

    Idle Mixture Screws?

I've seen that a lot on carbs. Don't know how or why but its just one of those things. Screw them in till they stop and look at the inside of the base, the needles shoulld stick out and be equal, if they are then don't worry about it. If not, try straightening them in a vice. Be carefull of the...

Do throttle body spacers really work?

They do work, you may feel a slight difference (or not). The theory behind them is that they atomize fuel molecules better than the stock t-bore and intake. I would opt for a larger t-bore and air intake system (K&N or similiar) then open up the exhaust to allow for the increase in air intake...

    From bad to worse

Just judging by the symptoms I would look at fuel deliver or secondary ignition. You may have a few injectors leaking which could foul out the plugs or faulty secondary components, cap and wires.

    pilot bearing help!!!

When engines are remaned, the assemblers pull parts from bins, sometimes the parts are different years. Unless you had someone reman your old engine I would suspect a different year crank. If you can get the old pilot out, get some measurements and see if you can't match it up.

Best way to clean the intake manifold?

I'm with Biscayne and shovel head, 31 years in the trade. Blow it out with air. After its up and running, run some seafoam through the intake. Be careful not to hydrolock the engine.

    Steering Damper???

Just had mine replaced at the dealer (warranty). They replaced it with a stock one so when my warranty is up (16k miles in the future) I'll upgrade to a heavy duty damper myself.

    Hubs Locked or unlocked?

I used to keep the hubs locked on my F/S blazer, in the winter and when I'm out wheelin. Never had a problem, although it is pretty much the same animal only bigger. It was just easier to sit inside and engage the transfer wiothout havng to step out into a huge puddle of partially frozen ice...

    91 jeep running rough

You would need to remove the cylinder head and send it out to a machine shop. They will re surface the valve seats, grind the valves and knurle guides (if required). They will do seals and springs and plane the head. While you are waiting for the head to come back, it would be a good idea to...

    91 jeep running rough

A weak lifter will start to tick after the engine oil gets hot and thins out. The "pop" may be caused by a wire, plug or a sticking valve. As AW said, an ignition problem will show up under load (heavy acceleration). But a sticking valve may hang on decel (as in changing gears) Tee-ing into a...

    Check Engine Code Help

IIRC, a code 13 is for the o2 sensor. Can your scanner read the o2 data or fuel trim? If o2 voltage is stuck high the PCM will lean out the fuel (shorter injector pulse width), which may explain the sputter at 4k rpm. The O2 should switch regularly above and below .45v.

Gas Prices in your town ???

Couldn't really say. To be honest, about 4 months ago I got a new job closer to home (2 miles round trip). I average around $20 every 2 1/2 weeks to fill the cavilier. I don't even look at the prices. :D

Most recent pics of your Jeep.

Man, that is so cool. Is the front part a sleeper or for storage? I usually take the Suburban when I go hunting or fishing for a few days...or so and can't fit all my equipment in the Cavilier, but that sticks the wife with the cavilier and she don't like like that... That would tow very...
