What did you do to your Jeep today?

I threw in a 2" BB yesterday after work. A little under 2 hours. I work in a garage so I had all the equipment at my disposal. I'm not sure if I like the way it sits. The rear appears to be higher than the front. Before the lift the rear was lower. I was looking for a more level look. Maybe its...

What did you do to your Jeep today?

Not doing anything today but tommorrow I'm installing a set of (New To Me) 31 10.50/15s with 8/32+ tread left. Thinking of installing the 2" coil lift I've been sitting on for the last 3 years.

    Weird problem...

Sounds like a vacuum leak. Take a can of Carb cleaner and spray around the intake where it meets the head and around the carb/ t-body base. Inspect the vac lines closely. TYpically a leaking intake manifold gasket will make it run rough untill the engine heats up and the metal part expand which...

    Hard tops

I been perusing Craigs list, there are plenty out there, just want to make sure that they will fit properly first. Plus I may have to wait until I have the dough. I got laid off last nov and decided to go back to school for a degree in electronic engineering. So now I have a $50K student loan to...

    Hard tops

I repaired the tear as best I could. I hope I can get through the winter. If not I know someone in the auto upholstry biz who can repair it. This guy built my bikini top for my old '87 blazer back in the day. I'm still looking around for a hard top though, so anyone in the S.E. Mass area that...

    2008 Wrangler Unlimited Won't Start

Crank sensor times spark, has nothing to do with no crank. If the engine won't spin over then it has to do with either, battery, starter, switch or anti-theft system. Starts and dies sounds more like an anti theft issue. If it were the crank sensor it would still crank but wouldn't start.

    Hard tops

Thanks for the replies. I'm not sweating the wiring (30+ years in the automotive repair feild). To be honest I didn't know the header could be removed from the soft top. I'll have to look closer at that. I've had my TJ for 4 years and it pretty much bone stock except for a front reciever for my...

    Hard tops

I tore my soft top this morning, I have a repair kit but I was thinking about replacing it with a hard top. My jeep is an '06 TJ. What year tops would fit this? And what would I need for mounting hardware? Thank for your help. :-)

    Oil pressure too high !!!

There have been cases of filters breaking down and clogging oil galleries but I don't believe that is the case here. After rereading your original post I kind of hate to condemn the pump but all logics point to the relief valve.

    Oil pressure too high !!!

I agree, it shouldn't be doing that. But, the only thing that controls OP is the relief valve. 13-75psi is the range. The pump could have been sitting on the shelf for awhile.

    Oil pressure too high !!!

Either its a high volume pump or the relief valve is stuck.

    Dreaded P0456 code

If the light comes back on (and I'm pretty sure it will) check the rubber hoses at the LDP (leak detection pump). Chrysler, in their infinate wisdom uses a type of rubber hose that detiorates very quickly and will crack. I have run into this more often than a bad fuel cap.
