I have a shock length question concerning my 79 CJ5. The 4WD Hardware 2 ½†lift kit that I installed was sent with shocks that appear too long. When the vehicle is sitting on a level surface I have about 2 ½†of shock piston exposed on the front shocks and about 2†of shock piston exposed on the rear shocks. I am worried that the upward wheel travel will be limited by the length of the shocks. I am also concerned about damaging the tie plates and shock mounts.
