Jeep rubicon got some new lights!

If you go off roading at night, or if you live down an unlit street, lighting upgrades are essential for the rig. We chose NOT to go with a windshield light bar, and we wired everything without adding any switches on our TJ rubicon sitting on 38s! Hope this sparks some ideas and hope this finds everyone in amazing health! Stay safe jeep fam!

To keep from stripping Torx bolts there are a few things to do.

1. Clean out the Torx bolt corners.
2. Use a sharp torx bit.

3. Insert the bit into the bolt and heat it with a MAP torch or inductive heater. The bolts come out without stripping.

As you found out or knew going in the bolts have blue loctite.
And medium blue Product temperature range from -54°C to +149°C (-65°F to +300°F). The breakaway and prevailing torque values decrease as temperature increases.

If you want brighter more reliable headlights run two 40Amp relays from the battery and tap the low beam to one and high beam to the other. Just like you did for the pillar lights. Then get new high temp light sockets to run your headlights from. Now you power will not go through the multifunction switch. You will have all 14.4V at the lights when running and not 11.something you have now.
