Lubricants

I have a 2006 Rubicon with 6 speed transmission and I need to change the fluids. What should I use in the front and rear axles--transmission--transfer case? Should I stick with factory products or is there something better??

I use a synthetic 75w/140 lubricant on the front and rear. If you tow or offroad quite a bit with it, i would recomend the 75w/140 synthetic. If you dont, use a 80w/90. The brand is a preference. The t.case uses ATF and the transmission is specific to a MS9224 fluid from mopar. I dont know what there is out there as a substitute for the trans. fluid.

If you do a lot of river fording, dont bother with synthetics in the axles. Just use the regular 80W-90 (or, if you live in hot weather, you can go for 75W-90), as you will need to change them anyway after fording rivers... Not worth to spend more just to change it all the time.
