grand/cherokee cat differneces??

I ordered one of the ebay "hi-flow" cats and onthe package it says it is for the 5.2L grand. jstu wondering if this will still work out? also will this bullet shaped cat (straight pipe LOL) increase the noise of the exhaust considerably or will it just lower the tone of my current flowmaster muffler?

oh one thing I forgot is that I am going to have to cut the bung off the old rattling cat and weld it to the new pipe. anyone know off hand what size cutout i need? THX
